I am a mostly self-taught artist who started drawing as a child. I have experimented over the years with various media including oils, acrylics, watercolor, gauche, and pastel. I enjoy working mostly with pastel to capture changing lights and colors on the landscapes. I typically paint landscapes, but also have been working on portraits and on a larger scale, painting full room murals.
I am a native Vermonter who has lived in the state all my life. I am inspired by the beauty of the state where I live. Most of my paintings are landscapes of the lakes, mountains, fields and forests I see every day.
In addition to being an artist, I’m a storyteller, I work in human services, and am the parent of five children, a dog and a couple cats.
